Green Man Festival is a week-long green field event in Banan Brycheiniog National Park in Wales. Crickhowell is a small town nearby. This is primarily a camping festival, with many different camping options. Green Man is known as a family-friendly festival and is a very popular UK festival. The Settler’s Passes typically sell out prior to lineup announcements, and 2025 was no exception. The lineup has dropped on 2/27/25, and currently there are not even any resale tickets available.
The Settler’s Pass includes admission from August 11-17 and includes the music-filled main fest weekend (August 14-17). The website promotes early week activities including workshops, yoga, campfire pub quizzes, and silent discos. The area is a national park and is lovely to explore.
The camping area has General, Family, and Quiet camping which do not require special pre-booking. There is also campervan camping and accessible camping, which do require pre-booking. For a more camping experience, there are pre-pitched basic tents and luxury bell tents, for rent. There are showers and basic facilities available to all campers. The area also has some B&Bs that you can stay at.
The festival has a teenaged area, a science area (Einstein’s Garden), and a comedy tent. Children over the age of 2 require tickets and they are available in different age ranges.
Music starts on Thursday and is a lineup that is quite heavy on indie music acts, especially indie rock. There are many UK acts, but also plenty of artists from abroad. For SWB readers that want a UK camping experience that is easier to get tickets to than Glastonbury, this is one to consider. Especially if you have children that you want to take to a festival.
